- Added a tidbit on how to change the characters in the starting sign of 1-1.
- Added mandatory Guidance triggers to various parts of 1-1 to encourage people to learn how to use this mechanic. (Also teach walljumping and groundpounding.)
- Made the third Star Coin of 1-1 much easier to locate.
Tweaked various parts of 1-2:
- Outmaways are set up to no longer catch players off-guard with their thrown projectiles.
- The starting area of the level has been tweaked to be more forgiving.
- The key gate is permanently unlocked if you do it once, to prevent potential softlocks if you happen to exit and re-enter the level afterwards. The key gate is locked again if you complete the level.
- Updated some of Signote's Guidance texts.
- Removed the key pressing text on the boss fight Guidance triggers as well as the later mandatory Guidance triggers, as seen in 1-6 and 1-7, respectively. (People should know how to use the mechanic at this point.)
- The Ice Swoopers in 1-3 have been made brighter after various criticisms.
- The ice chunks now fall slower in 1-3.
1-3's escape section has been GREATLY nerfed:
- The ice chunks now fall much slower to give players more time to react.
- Reduced the amount of Swoopers.
- Added a coin to indicate the hidden Mushroom at the second autoscroll direction change.
- Added light sources to 1-3, 1-5 and 1-6 to make things more visible.
- Added a new alternate track for 1-5. More info is in the main README text file.
- Expanded the section height of 1-6's third area.
- Some hypnotized Toads have been moved for more maneuverability in 1-6.
- Added healthbars to both of the boss fights. Now players can see how much health they have left for easier indication.
- Added Guidance triggers to tell that Spiral Saws and Grrols can be spinjumped on for better explanation. (More help for the non-SMBX people out there!)
- Reduced the spawns of Grrols in a certain section of 1-7's first area.
- Added wind socks to the third and fourth areas of 1-7, as better indicators for wind direction and whether the wind is blowing or not. Thanks to electro_kun for the sprites.
- Rocchione's health has been buffed from 3 to 5 hits due to a lack of difficulty on her part.
- Rocchione's sprites have been updated, thanks to VannyArts.
- The houses in 1-EX have been recolored to fit the houses in 1-2.
- Fixed a crucial bug in 1-EX, breaking the failing condition of the timer that occurs if timer runs out or if the player dies.
- Rewrote the Star Coin line at the end of 1-EX, as they have been replaced with Moneybags from SML2: 6 Golden Coins but I forgot to change it on release.
