Apart from npc releases on this forum, for graphics I use https://mfgg.net/ and https://www.spriters-resource.com/.
Extra music from https://www.smwcentral.net/.
As soon I use the graphics for example I immediately add the authors(s) to my credits list (do not care if (s)he wants/needs to be credited or not, it is a matter of respect for me):
That credits list can look sloppy as heck, does not matter, for now that is. It is about to not forget somebody.
Also an other plus point: People interested in any content can rather look for the original sources instead to half crappy-copy something from a map or mappack.
In case of the mentioned NPCs I feel a little bit troubled. Very often the authors also credit other people for their contributions. At that point I wonder, how deep I have to go? I don't want to write a doctoral thesis or something where I have to cite the author of every quotation.
